Digital copies of Fallout 4 can be pre-loaded on all platforms

If you decided to pre-order a digital copy of Bethesda's highly anticipated post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 4, you'll be able to pre-load the game's data and start playing as soon as the game's launch date arrives, regardless of what platform you're playing on.

Bethesda recently confirmed via Twitter that pre-loading for Fallout 4 will be available on all platforms, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Details on when exactly pre-order buyers will be able to start pre-loading the game's data are still a mystery for now, but Bethesda promises that they'll have “a few days” at least to get the game downloaded before it is released. Sadly, those who pre-order a physical copy will have to do things the old fashioned way and download the game's data after they've bought their copy and inserted it into their respective gaming machine.

Previous reports indicate a 28 GB install size on Xbox One (and there will likely be similarly large download sizes for PS4 and PC), so be sure to make some room on your platform's hard drive if you have to. Fallout 4 will be released on November 10 for all platforms.
