Assassin’s Creed Origins’ December update includes horde mode and more
Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Origins will be getting a sizeable new title update later in December, an update which will introduce several new gameplay features for fans who just can’t get enough of the game’s Egyptian setting.
As Ubisoft confirmed in this recent announcement post, the most noticeable new addition coming in the December update is a brand new game mode which allows players to partake in a horde mode scenario against endless waves of AI foes. The new mode will be triggered by a new in-game quest called ‘Here Comes a New Challenger,’ and Ubisoft recommends that a player be at least level 32 before attempting the horde mode challenge.
The December update will also include a new Nightmare Mode difficulty level for those who are feeling truly brave, an optional enemy scaling feature which will bring lower-level enemies up to the same level as the player, the final ‘Trial of the Gods’ event which will pit players against the Egyptian war goddess Sekhmet (as well as the ability to replay the first two trial events for those who missed them), and more.
A release date for Assassin’s Creed Origins’ December title update hasn’t yet been confirmed but it should arrive in the next week or so.
