Every year, technology enthusiasts and major hardware manufacturers flock to Taipei, Taiwan for the massive Computex event. This massive convention shows off technology at its peak across four days. Computex 2023, as per the norm, did not disappoint.

While a ton of hardware was shown, we wanted to break down some of our favorites now that the event is winding down. As always, there’s just a lot of really cool tech to make your PC the super power that it was always meant to be.

From TV-sized monitors to versatile haptic feedback chairs to a PC case with a little kick, let’s break down our favorites from Computex 2023.

ASRock PG558KF 8K: Are you sure this isn’t just a TV?

ASRock showed off their 55-inch, IPS, 8K resolution monitor at Computex. This thing is massive and dwarfs all the other monitors around it. But, it’s crisp, clean, and will serve any purpose to your heart’s desire.

The PG558KF is intended for gaming but is apparently also great for graphic design. I assume it also works great as a television, if you drop a Chromecast into it. But this beast is definitely designed with your computer in mind.

It rocks 8K resolution, or 7,680 by 4,320 pixels for those that can’t fathom the numbers and has a 1,200:1 contrast ratio. It might only offer 60Hz, but does that really matter in this case? Prices are still under wraps for this monster, but ASRock will likely start giving details later this year.

Cooler Master Motion 1 haptic gaming chair: Did I just get shot or is my chair just happy to see me?

Now, haptic feedback is nothing new. We remember seeing haptic gaming helmets that would knock you in the head when you got headshotted and gun-shaped vibrating controllers way back in 2008 at the Game Developers Conference. But haptic feedback chairs are one that feels like a fresh take on the concept in 2023.

Utilizing the D-Box engine created for specifically this type of purpose, this chair is meant to change how we consume entertainment. Sure, it vibrates and moves, but the audio is meant to be involved with the chair as well. The Motion 1 is for more than just gaming. This is meant to be experiential for all of your entertainment needs.

Their website boasts that the D-Box has an “encoded library of over 2,220+ games and movies” built in already. And yes, it lights up with RGB lighting.

It’s already up for pre-order on Cooler Master’s CMODX website for $2,229.00. So, if you have the extra cash and a need for an entertainment makeover, it should head your way around August. It also comes with a free digital copy of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to get you started.

Cooler Master Sneaker X: Prepare for a lot of shoe puns

Do you need a computer that won’t boot you off? A PC with a little more sole? A desktop with some kick to it? Cooler Master showed off a gaming rig with some pep in its step. The Sneaker X is shaped like a sneaker. Yeah, really.

While it isn’t as small as a normal sneaker, it’s aimed at sneaker enthusiasts to round out their aesthetic. It’s pretty big, but it’s not about that.

Cooler Master filled this shoe to the brim with fans and everything you need to get you going to build your PC. You still have to install your own mini-ITX board, CPU, RAM, storage, and graphics card.

While you’re expecting this unique case to be a shoe-in to your collection, it’s going to drop for a pretty penny. Sitting at $5,999 and coming this July, it’ll have your finances all tied up. Check out Cooler Master’s concept site for the Sneaker X.

Cooler Master MasterHUB: Control your stream and your PC

Yeah, Cooler Master made this list again. They had a really good showing this year at Computex 2023, honestly. As someone that uses Elgado’s Stream Deck, the Cooler Master MasterHUB really stuck out as something to keep our eye on.

It offers the same idea of buttons that the Stream Deck does, but also adds in plenty of knobs, switches, and additions to make it truly unique. It has programmable big knobs, in which they put pictures of animals for the demo at Computex.

It’s a tad modular in design, with kits that plug in for specific needs like video editing, photo editing, and streaming. Each of those mods come separate as add-ons. But, allow people to pick and choose how they utilize the MasterHUB.

While the MasterHUB is intended to control your PC, they spoke with Tom’s Hardware and said that by 2025, they hope to be able to control your smart home as well. Rad.

No word on a price or exact release date. But it’s expected to come out this year.

FSP Cannon Pro 2500W: Power for anything you could ever need

Do you need the ability to run four (yes, four) nVidia Geforce 4090s at the same time? Not many do. But, the FSP Cannon Pro has you either way. This power supply unit is a beast of beasts when it comes to power.

FSP showed off a slew of PSUs, which WCCFTech talked about on their site, but this one stood out among the rest. It only has two Gen 5.0 connectors, but also has six PCIe connectors that offer 950W for the 4090s with an adapter cable. If you need power, you get power.

No pricing or availability for the FSP Cannon Pro 2500W PSU just yet. But, expect them soon.

If you want to know more about Computex 2023 and all of the awesome gadgets, tech, and hardware shown off, there’s a ton more that Tom’s Hardware, PC World, and PC Mag saw during the event over on their respective sites.
