Warhammer Vermintide 2 gets a gameplay trailer to commemorate its full reveal
Earlier this year, Fatshark announced it was working on a proper sequel to the cult-hit co-op game Warhammer: Vermintide and promised a full reveal would be coming in October. Well, the studio has now made good on that promise by releasing a new gameplay trailer that more fully explains how Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will build upon the foundation of its predecessor.
According to Fatshark, Vermintide 2 will feature the same four-player co-op setup and the same hectic melee and ranged combat as the original Vermintide, but this time around each of the five playable heroes will have three distinct “careers” (so 15 in total) with each career having its own dedicated talent tree, weaponry, and aesthetic appearance. There will also be improvements like dedicated servers, full mod support, and an improved loot system. Naturally, the villainous rat-like Skaven will make a return, but this time around they’ll also be joined by a humanoid army of Chaos worshipers, ensuring that players will have their work cut out for them.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is set to launch for PC in early 2018, but you can pre-order it now via Steam. Pre-ordering nets you a 10 percent discount, exclusive access to an upcoming closed beta for the sequel, and a free copy of the soon-to-be-released Death on the Reik DLC pack for the original Vermintide. Be sure to watch the below trailer in full to see some alpha gameplay footage from Vermintide 2.
