Ubisoft to develop family-friendly animated series inspired by Watch Dogs and Far Cry 3

Ubisoft has been pretty successful with its Rabbids Invasion animated series on Netflix. Now wrapping up its fourth season, they're now producing a Rabbids Invasion special based on Mars as well as digging into its IP library for more ideas.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ubisoft is also developing an animated series based on Rayman, the platforming game starring Rayman, a magical being who saves the world from various villains. The company is also developing Hungry Shark, a series based on their popular mobile game where players swim across the ocean eating everything.

Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Vibe is also in devleopment and is a series inspired by the Far Cry 3 expansion Blood Dragon, but targeting young adults and will feature an Ubisoft multiverse where other known Ubisoft characters will possibly show up. This one is being produced by Netflix’s Castlevania producer, Adi Shankar.

Finally, a show inspired by Watch Dogs targeting tweens is also indevelopment and will focus on a teenage super hacker in high school who investigates and solves mysteries using the latest technology.

“Every show has a different target that it’s aiming at and a different format,” Ubisoft Film & Television managing director Helene Juguet told The Hollywood Reporter.
