Tekken 7’s post-launch DLC will include two additional guest characters
Bandai Namco has already confirmed that Street Fighter’s Akuma will be part of Tekken 7’s roster, but now the studio has announced that two additional guest characters will be coming to the game as part of its post-launch DLC roadmap.
According to this tweet from the official Tekken 7 Twitter account, the game will have three substantial post-launch DLC packs in total. The first pack will launch sometime in Summer, 2017 and will include a brand new game mode and over 50 new costumes for existing fighters. The second and third DLC packs will be the two additional guest characters (coming in Winter, 2017 and Spring, 2018 respectively), each of which will also come with a themed stage and additional costumes.
All three packs will be bundled together in a $24.99 season pass and the packs will be offered as individual purchases as well (though pricing for the individual packs has not yet been announced). Tekken 7 is currently set to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 2.
