Street Fighter V will get SteamOS support in spring, 2016

Capcom has confirmed that the PC version of Street Fighter V will be getting support for Valve’s SteamOS sometime during the upcoming spring season.

According to an update on the Street Fighter V Steam forums, the update will be free to download for all players. Street Fighter V’s SteamOS compatibility will also mean it will be playable on Linux systems (since SteamOS is Linux-based) and that it will be fully compatible with the Steam Controller.

Sadly, Steam Controller support won’t be available initially when Street Fighter V launches tomorrow, February 16. The game’s story mode also won’t be included in the release package and will instead be released as a separate free update sometime in June of this year.
