First off, how does a five-year-old title about semi-trucks crack the top 20?! The answer is simple: downloadable content! In May of this year, SCS Software unveiled the Heavy Cargo Pack DLC, which added eight new types of cargo. In early August, SCS Software then announced the Italia map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2. The DLC adds new areas, cities, and terrain from Italy including the Apennines. That DLC will be available later this year.

Payday 2 dropped from the Top Five down to the Top 10, which is still impressive given its recent return to the top just two months ago. Meanwhile, Football Manager 2017 cracked the Top 10 thanks to transfer deadline day in world football.

Grand Theft Auto V remains strong thanks to numerous updates and additions to its online content, particularly the Smuggler’s Run expansion and the NaturalVision Remastered mod, which gives the graphics an immense boost.

Player numbers were high overall, peaking at 13 million in the morning and dropping to a low of roughly 8.5 million in the evening. You've all been gaming very hard!
