Sleeping Dogs movie is still coming

Last year, Deadline.com reported that producer Neal Moritz (Fast and Furious) tapped Donnie Yen (Rogue One, IP Man) to star in Sleeping Dogs, an action flick based on the 2012 video game from Square Enix. Then we didn’t hear anything else about it until this past weekend. Yen took to his Instagram page and post images from both the movie and the video game saying the movie is still “in motion.”

We still don’t have word on a release window for the movie but at least we know it’s in production.

The Hong Kong action movie-inspired game, Sleeping Dogs, was an underrated hit that came out in 2012 (then re-released in 2014 for current gen consoles). The game followed Wei Shen a San Francisco police officer who was sent to Hong Kong to infiltrate a Triad organization called the Sun On Yee. Check out the trailer below:
