Raiden, Black Manta, and Hellboy are coming to Injustice 2
Injustice 2's impressive roster just keeps growing, and today we got our first look at the characters coming to the game in a DLC release known as "Fighter Pack 2." Aquaman foe Black Manta, Mortal Kombat's Raiden, and Hellboy from Dark Horse Comics will all be joining a eccentric collection of fighters which already includes Sub-Zero, Gorilla Grodd, and Swamp Thing.
There are no exact dates yet as to when these new fighters will release, but we'll be able to see more of Black Manta in action on August 27 via NetherRealm's Twitch channel.
Injustice 2's first Fighter Pack was a $20 add-on to the game which added three characters, or players could choose to buy individual fighters separately, so we can expect this new release to work the same way. Anyone who already owns the game's season pass or Ultimate Edition will get the characters of Fighter Pack 2 without any additional cost.
Injustice 2 is a great fighting game even for those who aren't normally fans of the genre, thanks to its strong single-player experience. These new characters (including the surprising addition of Hellboy) add more variety to the game's already enormous amount of content, for those who choose to pay for it.
Now if NetherRealm would just answer our e-mails about Swamp Thing's gender....
