Honestly, there’s always a plethora of games to come out each month. Sometimes, you just need to get to the point. What’s worth your time? As an Xbox player, you’ve got a few options.

Let me break June 2023 down to the juicy bits. Don’t worry, most of these show up on other systems. We’ll let you know where else you can find each game.

Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter is one of those series that just stays good. Over the years, there’s some minor aesthetic changes. But, the game ultimately plays the same. This time around, they’ve added some extra features, like avatar creation and a World Tour mode. But, the fighting in the street is the same as it’s always been.

There’s a demo available on all platforms the game will be on. You can try out the first part of the World Tour mode and to try a couple of the other various arcade modes. In World Tour, you make an entirely original avatar all on your own and start out at a local Metro City gym to become stronger. When not in a fight, you wander around the city in a third person mode. You’ll meet characters from across the franchise as it progresses and plenty of new threats as you work through a new story set in the Street Fighter universe. Or just challenge randos in the city to a street fight.

The game seems to play pretty smoothly and is well-worth your time. Players can choose between a classic control mode and a more modern, optimized mode to fight with. If all else fails, you get a good old classic Street Fighter experience out of it all.

Street Fighter 6 is out on June 2nd, 2023. If you want to play it, you can find it on the Xbox Series X and Series S. But, it also is coming to the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, as well as PC.

We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie

The Katamari series has become a classic over the years. The promise is simple: roll a ball and make it bigger by making things attach to it as it rolls. You, as the Prince, are tasked by your father, the King of the Cosmos, to create stars for him in this way. They’re called “katamaris.”

We Love Katamari REROLL is a full remaster of the original version of the second game from 2005. Not only do you get the classic “We Love Katamari”, you get a whole new gameplay mode with Royale Reverie. You are the King, but in his youth, tasked with new challenges to roll katamaris.

We can already hear the music in our heads. It’s going to be stuck in there for a while.

We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie will be out on June 2nd, 2023 (just like SF6). Alongside the Xbox Series X and Series S, it’s on everything else. Find it also on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It even gets a normal Xbox One release.

Diablo 4

Diablo 4 is the next installment of the Diablo series. Play solo or with others as you make your way through a new story set in the world of Sanctuary. Lilith has returned and is bringing evil and despair with her. It’s not a great time to just try to survive. Players take on the role of heroes to quell the darkness.

This entry of Diablo seems to lean more into an MMO thought process, without going full MMO. You can set yourself to “hostile” to fight against other players out and about in a “shared world” experience. This opens up all new ways to play Diablo to keep it fresh.

Diablo 4, as you’d expect, is coming out on nearly every console (sorry Nintendo). It’s out on June 6th, 2023 on the Xbox Series X and Series S, as well as PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Amnesia: The Bunker

If you’re a fan of horror games, the Amnesia series is one of the more famous ones out there. Amnesia: The Bunker places you trapped in a bunker as a French soldier during World War 1. Armed with a revolver and having a crafting system this time around, players have to figure out how to escape the bunker.

Described by the developers as a semi-open world, you explore the bunker and try to keep the lights on. Don’t let it get dark while you wander around. You are tasked with figuring out the mysteries of the bunker you’re currently trapped in, while also working your way through it to leave.

Amnesia: The Bunker is bringing all the scares on June 6th, 2023. If you want to play it elsewhere, you can also find it for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Aliens: Dark Descent

If you’re a fan of tactical squad-based games like XCOM or the Mario and Rabbids series, Aliens: Dark Descent is right up your alley.

Players take on the role of the commander of a squad of colonial marines. Lead your squad to take down xenomorphs, rogue Weyland-Yutani operatives, and more. You find yourself on Planet Lethe during a Xenomorph outbreak. But, something else seems to be happening as well. Forge your path, find shortcuts, and push forward to figure out what’s going on and destroy the threats that come with it.

This game is single-player, but you follow a brand new, unique story set in the Aliens world. Be careful because death is permanent in this game, similar to games like XCOM.

Aliens: Dark Descent is out on Xbox consoles a bit later in the month, on June 20th, 2023. If your single-player experience is on another console, find it the same day also on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It’s game over, man.
