Obsidian Entertainment is teasing a potential new game
For now, Obsidian Entertainment is toiling away on its highly anticipated sequel Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, but a recent tweet from the studio seems to suggest it is already looking towards the future.
Obsidian recently tweeted out a list of all the games it has worked on since it was founded back in 2003. The list was no-doubt a nice bit of wistful nostalgia for RPG fans who have been playing the studio’s titles ever since its humble beginnings, but at the end of the list, Obsidian snuck in a little “???” entry past Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, seemingly hinting that it has already been putting some thought into what it wants to do once Deadfire is released. Now, granted, the tweet itself shouldn’t be taken as direct confirmation that a new game is being worked on, but if Obsidian’s end goal was to get fans speculating, it seems safe to say it accomplished its mission.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is set to launch next year in the wake of a successful Fig crowdfunding campaign.
