No timed exclusive DLC planned for Fallout 4 says Bethesda

Past Bethesda games tended to favor Xbox consoles when it came to DLC release schedules, but Bethesda has confirmed no such favoritism will be shown for Fallout 4’s post-launch DLC releases.

Bethesda’s Pete Hines recently answered a fan question via Twitter, saying that the studio has no plans to release DLC for a specific platform ahead of other platforms. Both Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim included post-launch DLC which showed up on the Xbox 360 first before being later ported over to their respective PlayStation 3 and PC versions. Now it looks like fans can rest easy knowing they’ll be gaining access to DLC at the same time as everyone else no matter which platform they prefer.

Bethesda also recently revealed the Xbox One install size for Fallout 4 will weigh in at 28 GB, and will most likely be the same or of a similar size on PC and PS4. Diehard fans should be sure to keep some extra hard drive space available as well, since whatever post-launch DLC Bethesda has in the works will naturally take up additional room.

Fallout 4 is set to be released for all platforms on November 10, 2015.
