Pricing for the Switch’s online service hasn’t been confirmed, but in June 2017, Nintendo put forward a pricing plan consisting of $19.99 per year, $3.99 per month, or $7.99 for a three month subscription. There will also be discounts and free games only accessible by those with the paid service. Until the service is live, usage of the Switch’s free multiplayer services will continue to be useable in their current form.
Nintendo released this information along with their announcement that a Mario movie is in the works, and that a Mario Kart game is currently being developed for mobile platforms.
