New Rainbow Six Siege patch includes changes for specific operators

Ubisoft has released a new patch for Rainbow Six Siege which brings the game up to version 2.1.3 and makes noticeable changes to several different playable operators.

The three operators who are most affected by the patch are Glaz, Montagne, and Echo. The patch tweaks these three operators in the following ways:

  • After the changes made to Glaz’s scope in the recent Mid-Season Reinforcements patch, additional tweaks have been made to help players more clearly see whether or not they successfully hit an enemy when looking through the scope.
  • The hip fire spread of Montagne’s LFP586 has been increased slightly since Ubisoft felt the weapon was just a little too accurate when fired from the hip, especially with the laser sight attachment equipped.
  • Echo’s Yokai Drone has been changed so that the sonic burst it can emit now disorients enemies no matter where it hits them. Previously, the disorientation effect was triggered only if the sonic burst hit an enemy’s head.

The full patch notes for update 2.1.3 also list the various bugs that have been fixed. Lastly, Ubisoft mentioned in the patch notes that it is aware of the ongoing issue which causes Hibana’s X-KAIROS pellets to sometimes not fire and that it has determined the root of the problem. Unfortunately, fixing the issue will take more time than originally anticipated, but Ubisoft promises a fix should be implemented before the end of season 2.
