NES Classic Edition offers portable retro gameplay

Nintendo has unveiled the Nintendo Classic Edition, a miniature version of its iconic Nintendo Entertainment System console which comes packed with 30 different retro games.

The Nintendo Classic Edition will be able to plug into any HDMI-compatible television using an included HDMI cable and it will also include a Classic Edition version of the standard NES controller. For those who want to get some two-player action going, additional controllers will be available as standalone purchases for $9.99 each.

“We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place,” said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. “The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is ideal for anyone who remembers playing the NES, or who wants to pass on those nostalgic memories to the next generation of gamers.”

The Nintendo Classic Edition is set to launch on November 11, 2016, and will retail for $59.99. The full list of games which will be included with the miniature console are as follows:
