Middle-earth: Shadow of War pays tribute to deceased producer

On March 3, 2016, Michael “Forthog” Forgey, an executive producer at Monolith Productions, sadly passed away due to cancer, and now the team behind Middle-earth: Shadow of War is aiming to immortalize Forgey in a rather fitting manner.

When Shadow of War arrives next month, players will be able to purchase an optional $4.99 DLC pack that adds a unique new orc follower into the game: Forthog Orcslayer. In addition to being a beloved member of the Monolith team, Forgey was also a talented musician, so it makes sense that Forthog Orcslayer wields a mighty axe fashioned out of a guitar. Proceeds from sales of the Forthog Orcslayer DLC pack will be donated to Forgey’s family until December 31, 2019.

You can see Forthog Orcslayer in action courtesy of the below trailer (a trailer which also features music that was performed by Forgey himself). Middle-earth: Shadow of War is set to launch on October 10 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
