Mass Effect: Andromeda will not have a DLC season pass

The odds that BioWare’s upcoming sci-fi RPG Mass Effect: Andromeda will get some post-launch DLC are pretty high, but unlike other major Electronic Arts-published titles, Andromeda will not come with an optional season pass for said DLC.

When BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn was recently asked via Twitter whether Andromeda will be getting a season pass, his answer was short and simple:

“Nope”

Flynn’s response is certainly comforting for those who don’t enjoy feeling obligated to shell out extra for a game’s season pass, but it also isn’t terribly surprising considering none of the previous three Mass Effect games had season passes either. When further questioned about what sorts of DLC BioWare has planned for Andromeda, Flynn said the company plans to talk more about it at a later date.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch on March 21, 2017.
