Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is coming in November
Publisher Warner Bros has announced a second entry in its Lego Marvel Super Hero series, aptly titled Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, will launch this upcoming November.
According to a press release, the game will involve players going up against Kang the Conqueror in a brand new story campaign. Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 will naturally include new playable characters like Doctor Strange, Cowboy Captain America, and even Baby Groot, along with a new hub world set in Chronopolis. Lastly, the sequel will apparently include a four-player competitive battle mode in addition to the story campaign.
“With a completely original branching storyline, LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes 2 introduces amazing new gameplay features, including the ability for characters to manipulate time and a four-player competitive Super Hero battling mode,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games in a press release. “With a huge array of brand new characters from the Marvel Universe, including old favorites in new guises, this game is sure to thrill both LEGO and Marvel fans, as well as newcomers to the series.”
Warner Bros shared the teaser below which promises a full-length trailer (and presumably more details about the game) will arrive on May 23. The press release also confirms a November 17 release date for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, and an as-yet-revealed December release date for a Nintendo Switch version (Warner Bros promises the Switch version will be out in time for Christmas).
