Fatal Fury’s Geese Howard is Tekken 7’s next DLC character
Last weekend, the world’s top Tekken 7 players clashed at the 2017 EVO fighting game tournament, and it was right before the final eight players began their ascent towards the championship that Tekken 7 game director Katsuhiro Harada took to the stage to unveil the game’s next DLC character: Fatal Fury’s Geese Howard.
Howard, who served as one of the core villains in SNK’s Fatal Fury franchise and who also appeared in the King of Fighters series, will soon step into the Tekken 7 arena to mix it up with the likes of Heihachi Mishima, Paul Phoenix, King, and more. Tekken fans were especially surprised to see Howard’s unveiling since, while SNK fighters have clashed with Capcom contenders in the past thanks to the venerable Capcom vs. SNK series, this marks the first time that an SNK fighter will appear in a Bandai Namco title. Of course, Tekken 7 is no stranger to crossover characters since it already counts Street Fighter’s Akuma amongst its roster of existing champions.
A specific release date for Geese Howard hasn’t yet been announced, but Bandai Namco later said he should be joining the Tekken 7 roster sometime during the winter, 2017 period. In the meantime, you can watch his reveal trailer below.
