Fallout 4 Survival mode tweaks and new DLC incoming

Fallout 4 developer Bethesda has confirmed that new content is on the horizon for its open-world post-apocalyptic RPG, content which includes some free updates to the game’s challenging Survival mode as well as the game’s first official DLC pack.

Bethesda confirmed via Twitter that Fallout 4’s first DLC pack is almost finished, and that it expects players will be very excited to see what it is. Players who are looking for the ultimate challenge in the game’s Survival mode (a hardcore difficulty level that ups enemy health levels and makes the player susceptible to additional forms of damage) will also be happy to hear that the mode is getting a major overhaul, bringing it more in line with the punishing conditions of Fallout: New Vegas’s Survival mode.

Details on when both the DLC and the Survival mode updates will be released are being kept under wraps for now, but Bethesda’s Twitter updates suggest that players won’t have long to wait before they’re struggling to survive the additional DLC perils.
