Fallout 4 PC modders report stolen content on Xbox One

In a sad, yet not entirely surprising turn of events, several modders who created mods for the PC version of Fallout 4 have discovered that other users have been taking and uploading their mods to the game’s Xbox One version without letting them know beforehand or giving them due credit.

It hasn’t been that long since mod support was officially brought to the Xbox One version of Fallout 4, but the number of instances in which PC mods are being ported over to Xbox One without the mod creator’s consent has grown so large, that Bethesda had to make a formal post detailing how mod creators can file an official complain and have their mod removed from the Xbox One version of Fallout 4.

The issue has even sparked a bit of a debate between Xbox One and PC Fallout 4 players, with some accusing the PC modders of being “lazy” for not porting their mods over to Xbox One themselves, and others saying that free content (which virtually all mods are) cannot be stolen (a bit of a silly stance to take considering how much time and effort some modders put into their mods).

Hopefully, the issue will have been sorted out by the time mod support comes to the PlayStation 4 version of Fallout 4 later this month.
