Fallout 4’s revamped Survival Mode is now live for the PC version

Fallout 4’s 1.5 update, which adds in bug fixes and the revamped Survival Mode difficulty among other things, is now live for the game’s PC version, with a console release to follow soon after.

Bethesda confirmed the 1.5 update’s release via a new blog post which also contains the update’s patch notes. The biggest addition included in the update is obviously the revamped Survival Mode difficulty, but the update also contains a bunch of gameplay fixes, as well as tweaks such as allowing players to set robotic companions as settlement vendors. Lastly, the update readies Fallout 4 for next month’s Far Harbor expansion, the third major DLC add-on which is included in the game’s season pass.

The blog post also confirms that Bethesda is planning to bring the 1.5 update to the console versions of Fallout 4 sometime next week, though a specific day has yet to be settled on. In the meantime, Bethesda is also hard at work bringing official mod support to both the PC and console versions of Fallout 4, with mod support expected to be live on all platforms by June of this year.
