Dragon Age: Inquisition The Descent DLC launches next week

BioWare has pulled a fast one on Dragon Age: Inquisition players, announcing the next story-based DLC pack for the game, titled The Descent, roughly a week before it is set to launch.

In The Descent, players must venture down into the Deep Roads of Thedas to find out what is causing the severe earthquakes that are ripping the lands above apart. There, they will encounter new types of Darkspawn, including what appears to be a corrupted version of the iconic Darkspawn trolls from Dragon Age: Origins. Players will also be able to meet new friends, unravel new mysteries about both the Darkspawn and the Dwarves and, naturally, find plenty of epic new loot.

The Descent will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of Inquisition on August 11 (BioWare is sadly discontinuing DLC support for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game). A price for the DLC hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it will likely cost the same as the previous story DLC, Jaws of Hakkon ($14.99). You can watch a trailer for The Descent DLC below.
