A draft of the Uncharted movie’s script has been completed

After spending years in development hell, the in-development Uncharted movie has officially moved one step closer to completion now that a draft of its script has been finished.

Script writer Joe Carnahan announced via Instagram that he had finished the draft and it was clear he couldn’t hold back his excitement:

“Done and Dusted. Now the REAL work begins. If there's a more monstrously cool action script in Hollywood right now, I wanna read it, 'cuz this thing is a BEAST.”

The Uncharted movie was first announced way back in 2009 and has since seen a revolving door of directors and script-writers come and go. With Carnahan handling script-writing, directing duties have now fallen to director Shawn Levy, the director behind Netflix’s recent Stranger Things series. Levy is still in the process of figuring out who will play the film’s lead, Nathan Drake, but he also hopes to have finished filming the movie by the end of 2017.
